Skiiers and Snowboarders alike are ecstatic as Aspen Mountain will remain open one week longer than originally scheduled. March was notably warm and mostly dry, receiving only 30 inches of snow, yet 17 inches of fresh snowfall during the first week of April was enough to extend the ski area's operation for one week. Rather than closing April 16th, Aspen Mountain of Aspen Snowmass resorts will remain open through Sunday, April 23rd. All other mountains will close as scheduled.
