The 10.8-mile Sunnyside Trail moves through an almost 2,400-foot change in elevation as it zig-zags up Red Mountain. Like Hunter Creek Trail, Sunnyside Trail is filled with beautiful wildflowers during the summer. At the summit, Red Mountain has spectacular panoramic views over Independence Pass and all four mountains of the Aspen Snowmass. Other easily accessible outdoor activities include fly-fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, camping, and kayaking.
